Standard on all 2020 Altima trims is an advanced 2.5-liter inline 4V engine with front-wheel drive, which delivers 188 horsepower and 180 pound-feet of torque. This engine, first introduced in the 2019 model, features 80% new or redesigned parts compared to the previous generation design. It has an EPA-estimated fuel economy rating of 25 mpg in the city, 34 mpg on the highway and 29 mpg combined, a 15% increase over its predecessor.
